Order: Court admitted BDT as co-party in Reproductores case

On March 20, 2024, the Twelfth Civil Court of First Instance in Guatemala admitted BDT Investments Inc. as a third-party co-litigant in support of Lisa, S.A. in a summary proceeding initiated by Reproductores Avícolas, S.A. The court validated the legal standing of BDT based on documentation presented by its Special Judicial Representative, Rossana Mishelle Ramírez Paredes, and recorded her authority to act.

BDT was admitted as co-party without altering the procedural position of Lisa, S.A., and the court also accepted the evidentiary submissions filed by BDT. The court cited Article 553 of the Civil Procedure Code and relevant constitutional and human rights provisions in support of the decision. This order became the subject of a failed motion for revocation filed by Reproductores days later.
