On December 22, 2021, the Eleventh Civil Circuit Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama admitted the corrected Simple Executive Process of Greater Amount filed by Lisa, S.A. against Villamorey, S.A. The court found that the corrected filing complied with Articles 665, 1613(3), and 1614(5) of the Judicial Code and therefore granted full admission of the action. The judge issued a payment mandate in favor of Lisa, S.A., ordering Villamorey, S.A. to satisfy the debt.

The court ordered Villamorey, S.A. to pay $51,643,208.80, broken down into $44,910,912.00 in principal, $6,732,236.80 in costs, and $60.00 in provisional expenses. Villamorey, S.A. was notified that it must appear within two days of the order’s notification to pay or designate assets for execution. Failure to declare assets constitutes contempt, and false declarations may trigger criminal liability.
