Order 2567: Court ordered Villamorey to pay Lisa $51.6 million

On December 22, 2021, the Eleventh Civil Circuit Court of Panama admitted a corrected claim filed by Lisa, S.A. against Villamorey, S.A. in a high-value summary proceeding. The court found that the revised complaint met all legal requirements and therefore issued a payment order in favor of Lisa, S.A.

The payment order mandates Villamorey, S.A. to pay $51,643,208.80, broken down as $44,910,912.00 in principal, $6,732,236.80 in legal costs, and $60.00 in provisional expenses. The court warned the defendant to appear within two days of notification to either pay or disclose assets for seizure. Failure to comply could result in contempt charges or criminal liability.
