Resolution 2186-22

On September 9, 2022, the Metropolitan Prosecutor’s Office issued Resolution No. 2186-22, formally admitting the criminal complaint filed by Lisa, S.A. The prosecutor confirmed that the complaint meets all procedural requirements under Articles 79, 84, 88, and 89 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The resolution summarizes Lisa’s allegations of fraud, economic crimes, falsification of documents, and the withholding of millions in dividends belonging to Lisa through Villamorey, S.A. and its administrator, Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez, with an estimated loss of $40 million.

The resolution legally recognizes Lisa as the “legitimate victim” and designates Bosch—acting as Villamorey’s general agent—as the formal defendant. It acknowledges evidence that Bosch withheld 33.3% of dividends owed to Lisa and failed to account for multimillion-dollar funds entrusted to him as judicial depositary. The prosecutor orders the acceptance of accompanying documents and instructs the issuance of all necessary communications to continue the criminal investigation.
