Official Notice 3299: Requested full civil case file in embezzlement probe

On May 26, 2023, the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office issued Official Notice No. 3299 to the Eleventh Civil Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama. This request is part of criminal case No. 202300033850, based on a complaint filed by attorney Carlos De Icaza Muñoz on behalf of Lisa, S.A. The criminal case involves allegations of embezzlement and other crimes against public administration in the context of civil proceedings involving Lisa, S.A. and Villamorey, S.A.

The prosecutor requests certified copies of the entire civil case file for case 7081-08 (C. 556-99), which originated from an ordinary civil lawsuit with a seizure action initiated by Villamorey, S.A. against Lisa, S.A. The request is made under Article 75 of the Criminal Procedure Code, which requires public institutions to cooperate with the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The requested documents will help support the criminal investigation into Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez’s role as judicial depositary in that case.
