Official Notice 2138: Confirmed Bosch named depositary with no reports filed

On August 24, 2023, the Eleventh Civil Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama issued Official Notice No. 2138 in response to a request from the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office regarding the embezzlement investigation against Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez. The court confirmed that Bosch was appointed judicial depositary in the civil case No. 556-99 (MC 7081-08), based on entries at pages 2150 and 2163 of the case file.

However, the court also certified that there is no record of Bosch ever submitting any reports related to his role as depositary. Additionally, the court stated that Lisa, S.A. had not filed any formal request to have Bosch removed from the depositary position. Authenticated copies of the relevant case file entries were attached to the notice, which forms part of criminal case No. 202300033850.
