Resolution 593

On November 14, 2023, the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office issued Resolution No. 593 addressing competing submissions from Lisa, S.A. and Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez in Criminal Case File No. 202300033850. Bosch’s attorney requested that the investigation be closed, arguing the allegations belong in civil jurisdiction and citing past criminal complaints that were archived. Lisa, in turn, presented supporting documentation—including decisions from the First Superior Tribunal confirming its right to seek a rendering of accounts from Bosch as judicial depositary.

The Prosecutor’s Office rejected Bosch’s request, explaining that the case remains in a preliminary investigative phase and that the Public Ministry has the constitutional duty to pursue potential crimes. The resolution schedules a new interview of court official Javier Castillero Anzola, accepts Lisa’s request to seek information from all Civil Circuit Courts regarding potential measures affecting Lisa in 2015, and denies Lisa’s request to interview Bosch, citing his right to remain silent under constitutional and procedural guarantees.
