Order 1838: Court embargoed Lisa’s shares and dividends

On December 12, 2012, the Twelfth Civil Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama issued Auto No. 1838, granting an embargo in favor of BDT Investments Inc. against Lisa, S.A. for a total of $19,184,880.00. The court ordered the seizure of Lisa's shares in multiple Guatemalan and Panamanian companies, including Alimentos para Animales, Avícola Las Margaritas, Administradora de Restaurantes, and Villamorey, S.A. The ruling also affects any declared dividends owed to Lisa, whether already accrued or to be generated in the future.

Additionally, the court extended the embargo to funds Lisa, S.A. holds in accounts at GTC Bank and in the ordinary lawsuit with seizure proceedings against Villamorey, S.A. (Expediente 556-99). The measure also covers all amounts or credits due to Lisa in any related legal proceedings. This ruling strengthens BDT’s legal position in recovering the substantial debt owed.
