Official Notice 29

On January 3, 2025, the Twelfth Civil Court issued Official Notice No. 29 to the Eleventh Civil Court of the First Judicial Circuit, informing it that the attachment imposed on December 12, 2012 under Order No. 1838 had been lifted. The notice referenced the September 30, 2024 ruling of the Fourth Superior Tribunal, which confirmed Order No. 898 of April 12, 2022, approving the settlement reached between BDT Investments Inc. and Lisa, S.A. As a result, the attachment over any sums, rights, or credits in favor of Lisa, S.A. in Case No. 556-99 and sequestration action No. 7081-08 may no longer be maintained.

The Twelfth Civil Court instructed the Eleventh Civil Court to make the corresponding legal annotations, emphasizing that the lifted attachment had previously frozen amounts up to $19,184,680.00 in Lisa, S.A.’s favor. This notice, which relates to Official Notice No. 55 of January 14, 2013, ensures that the Eleventh Civil Court updates its records to reflect the now-final termination of the 2012 attachment following the appellate confirmation of the parties’ settlement.
