Official Notice 29: Eleventh Civil Court notified of lifted embargo

On January 3, 2025, the Twelfth Civil Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama issued Official Notice No. 29 to the Eleventh Civil Court, reporting that the embargo ordered in Auto No. 1838 on December 12, 2012, had been lifted. The decision followed the resolution issued on September 30, 2024, by the Fourth Superior Court, which confirmed Auto No. 898—approving the settlement agreement between BDT Investments Inc. and Lisa, S.A.

The lifted embargo covered any sums, rights, or credits owed to Lisa, S.A. in the ongoing ordinary lawsuit with seizure action against Villamorey, S.A., registered under case number 556-99 and seizure action 7081-08. The Eleventh Civil Court was asked to update its legal records accordingly. This notification relates to a prior order issued on January 14, 2013, and marks a key implementation step in resolving the enforcement process.
