On January 25, 2023, the Sixteenth Civil Court admitted Lisa’s request for a precautionary attachment order against Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez. After reviewing the filing, the court determined that the request met the formal requirements under Article 531(3) of the Judicial Code. Because attachment measures can affect property and financial rights, the court also applied Article 533 to assess the need for a bond securing potential liabilities.

The court authorized the attachment and set a bond of $5,000,000, which Lisa must deposit under Article 570 of the Judicial Code to cover possible damages or prejudice resulting from the measure. With this order, Lisa may move forward in safeguarding its interests while pursuing accountability for funds withheld by the defendant.
