On April 11, 2023, the Sixteenth Civil Court corrected Order No. 12 after identifying an omission regarding the deadline for Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez to appear and render the accounting owed to Lisa, S.A. The court explained that the original order mistakenly granted only a five-day period for a response, rather than specifying the time period for Bosch to physically appear before the tribunal to provide the accounting—the essential purpose of the proceeding. Relying on Articles 1379 and 1380 of the Judicial Code, the court confirmed that the demand fulfilled the requirements for a summary accounting process.

Exercising its corrective authority under Article 999, the court modified the prior order and granted Bosch ten business days from notification to appear before the court and render a complete accounting. All other terms of Order No. 12 remain unchanged. This correction ensures that the process can move forward effectively and that Lisa’s right to receive an accounting from the judicial depositary is fully protected.
