Edict 246

On June 21, 2024, the Sixteenth Civil Court issued Edict No. 246 summoning Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez to appear through counsel in the ongoing Summary Accounting Proceeding brought by Lisa, S.A. The edict gives Bosch twenty days from the last publication date to present his defense. This measure follows Article 1012 of the Judicial Code, which authorizes edict-based notification when international service efforts—such as the previously issued letter rogatory to Guatemala—exceed statutory time limits.
