Order 18: Court admitted BDT as co-litigant in Lisa’s case

On January 10, 2025, the Sixteenth Civil Court of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama issued Auto No. 18, granting the request by BDT Investments Inc. to intervene as a third party (tercero interesado) in the accounting lawsuit filed by Lisa, S.A. against Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez. BDT Investments Inc. joins the case as a co-litigant (litisconsorte) after meeting all procedural requirements.

This order reflects BDT’s legal interest in the case, as it is now the rightful owner of Lisa’s shares and its claim to over $44.9 million in unpaid dividends. The decision allows BDT to formally participate in the proceedings, reinforcing its right to seek an accounting from Bosch in his role as former judicial depositary of the withheld funds.
