Order 966: Court admitted Lisa’s lawsuit for damages

On April 12, 2024, the First Civil Circuit Court of Panama admitted a lawsuit for damages filed by Lisa, S.A. against Villamorey, S.A. The court reviewed the legal representation and the complaint and found that the filing met all formal requirements established by Articles 625, 628, and 665 of the Panamanian Judicial Code.

As a result, the judge granted formal admission of the case and ordered that a copy of the complaint be served to Villamorey, S.A. The company has ten (10) days to file a response. Once the complaint is answered or counterclaimed, the evidentiary stage will begin automatically fifteen (15) days later, in accordance with Article 1265 of the Judicial Code.
