Order 1217: Adds Juan Luis Bosch as defendant in damages lawsuit

On May 8, 2024, the First Civil Circuit Court of Panama amended its earlier Order No. 966, originally issued on April 12, 2024, in the damages lawsuit brought by Lisa, S.A. The court acknowledged that the lawsuit was filed not only against Villamorey, S.A., but also against Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez in his personal capacity. The plaintiff’s attorney, María Luisa Villarreal Palacios, requested this correction based on the original content of the lawsuit.

Citing Article 999 of the Judicial Code, which allows court orders to be corrected or amended at any time, the judge officially added Juan Luis Bosch Gutiérrez as a named defendant. The court ordered that a copy of the complaint be served on him personally, with a ten (10) day deadline to respond. All other aspects of Order 966 remain unchanged.
