On April 12, 2022, the Twelfth Civil Court of the First Judicial Circuit approved the extrajudicial settlement jointly filed by BDT Investments Inc. and Lisa, S.A. The filing contained a liquidation and rights-assignment agreement executed on February 19, 2020, and the court confirmed that it met all requirements under Article 1082 of the Judicial Code. The court emphasized that both parties’ representatives were duly empowered to settle and that the terms of the agreement complied with Panamanian law.

The ruling gives full legal effect to the negotiated settlement, allowing the parties to conclude the enforcement proceeding through the terms of their 2020 agreement.
