Procedural Background

The edict notification addresses the failure to accomplish personal service of two prior rulings: the Order 966-2024 of April 12, 2024, which admitted the complaint against Villamorey, S.A. (legally represented by Ramiro López Nimatuj), and the Order 1217-2024 of May 8, 2024, which amended that order to add Juan Luis Bosch Gutierrez as a personal defendant.

The Service Report of July 16, 2024 documented two unsuccessful visits to the offices of Galindo, Arias & López, Villamorey's resident agent, located at Avenida Federico Boyd, Scotia Plaza, Floor 11, Office 11. On both occasions (July 10 and July 16, 2024), Lcda. Maricel Oballes, a member of the firm's staff, stated that she did not know the individuals sought. The inability to locate the defendants at the address of their own resident agent triggered the subsidiary notification mechanism under Article 1017 of the Judicial Code.
