Urgently requests international judicial assistance to notify Bosch after defense counsel discloses his Guatemala address

Lisa, S.A., represented by attorney Jessica Canto, filed an urgent motion before Panama's Anti-Corruption Prosecutor at the Procuraduría General de la Nación, requesting international judicial assistance to notify defendant Juan Luis Bosch Gutierrez at his residence in the Republic of Guatemala. The motion was grounded in a procedural development from the previous day, March 20, 2025, during an appellate hearing on the admission of the entity that acquired the complainant Lisa, S.A.'s rights. At that hearing, Bosch's own defense counsel, Licenciado Moisés Barlett, disclosed the defendant's address in Guatemala. Lisa, S.A. acted immediately to request that the Prosecutor's Office channel the notification through international judicial cooperation mechanisms, so that Bosch would be formally served with notice of the criminal complaint admitted against him in Case No. 202300033850.
This motion was filed on the same date the Prosecutor's Office issued a resolution confirming that the Judicial Investigation Directorate (DIJ) was in the process of locating Galindo, Arias y López (GALA), the registered agent for Villamorey, S.A. The simultaneous filings reflect a coordinated effort by the complainant to advance notification of both the defendant and the related corporate entities. The effort proved successful: on May 27, 2025, Bosch formally acknowledged notification of the criminal complaint, invoking his right not to give a statement.
